Eoghan Heaslip, Laura Story, Lincoln Brewster, Jared Anderson, and Michael Gungor present us with these musical musings inspired by and based on the prophetic words of Habakkuk written in the 7th century B.C. These songs fill the atmosphere of this planet with the glory of God every time they are played or sung. By the writing and playing of these songs, these artists are themselves a part of the fulfillment of this verse.

What a pleasure it was to listen to these offerings of praise. Though I was familiar with some of the songs, they were nevertheless "fresh" to me as presented by these gifted worshippers. The musicianship is excellent, as well as the production. The way I know the production is good on an album is that I am not distracted by it. When it is really good, I don't notice it at all (no offense to the technicians). I was able to focus on the music, which is worth focusing on, without distraction. And believe me it is worthy focusing on.

I'm not sure how music can be powerful and yet "easy listening" at the same time, but that was the feeling I had on a number of the songs. They inspire without overwhelming you.

There are a couple of nice collaborations on this project... Eoghan Heaslip and Laura Story on "My Glorious/Sing to the King" and Lincoln Brewster and Michael Gungor on "Glory."

There is very little difference in the quality of the various songs. It seemed that there was one great song after another. I think that is probably something that is easier to achieve with the contributions of a group of writers, as opposed to a solo album.

I was especially caught up in Eoghan Heaslip's "Amazed." I share his evident amazement that we are loved by God. Laura Story has a really nice rendition of "Indescribable." It would be hard to pick a favorite, but if was backed in a corner by a screaming mob with sticks demanding a choice it might be Michael Gungor's "Filled with Glory," a song that captures the heart of Hab. 2:14. It will no doubt become a part of our church's worship list.

Don't even hesitate to add this album to your collection. In fact, you should perhaps get two because you will no doubt wear one of them out.
