Holidays We staff our shipping department on all regular business days to handle your orders. The actual shipping of products depends on the business schedule of the shipper selected. WorshipMusic.com is pleased to be one of the select places anywhere in the world to provide comprehensive and helpful reviews of products specific to worship music. We were the first anywhere to do this! Over the years, we have tried to select products to review that we felt represented excellent worship and music resources to the church. The reason we do reviews is to give people a third party viewpoint of the resources. These are written from people who are involved in worship and music, understand the connection and function it has in the local church, and can speak from their personal background. We find people don't want to hear the typical "music critics", and we aren't trying to be those. Instead we look at and provide these reviews as a way to identify whether a resource fits with what you are needing. In the process of doing that, we also comment on the quality and other aspects of the CD or products being reviewed. In the end, we think our customers come to trust and value our opinions as much as they do our products, which allows us to be helpful to you, your local church and the Body of Christ worldwide. So now that you know why we do reviews, let's talk about how we do it. Part of the process of the reviews is the reviewer selection. We do not accept solicitation from outside reviewers. We develop relationship with worship leaders serving in local churches. We do not accept outside reviews. Instead we draw from people we have come to know and trust as viable and well-thought practitioners serving in their own churches. Many of them are people you would not have heard of, others are people more widely recognized. Across all of them, we ask for a strong commitment to the review and expect a broad understanding of the issues to be considered in doing a review. The other part of the review process is the selection of the products. We review products that strike the heart and inspire the soul of the review staff. We do not accept solicitations from company's, labels, or independents to review their products. We review what we like, because we believe it maintains the integrity of the review process. If a product is reviewed, it is because we heard about, took a listen, and decided it was genuinely worth our while, and that of our readers to write a review of the product. A third part in the review process is the writing of the actual review. This part contains specific guidelines given to all reviewers from the editor (Kim Gentes). These are a set of outlines which explain the purpose and goals of a review for WorshipMusic.com. Each reviewer is expected to write real content in the reviews, not just gushy marketing hype. The content of the review is what gives credibility to the writer. Typically, this includes many things, but part of our specific interest at WorshipMusic.com is to highlight products which serve as excellent resources to the Body of Christ, enabling and increasing worship on the earth! The next part of the process in reviews is the decision phase. This is when the editor is given the option of publishing or not publishing a specific review. The decision phase for us is different than many other companies. Our policy is that we will not publish a review that is, on the whole, speaking negatively about a worship product. This is not to say we don't write reviews that are negative. We simply chose not to publish them to the world. If a review comes back negative, we still pay the reviewers (so they are paid for their work, not just if they say good things). Further, we make the review available to the publisher of the music product so that the feedback is given to those to whom it might have some benefit. This allows the publisher to gain important reflection from an outside source. We believe that God has instructed us to bless, and not curse in this area. We believe that speaking publicly; we should only put out reviews with positive blessings. We believe that speaking critically, with largely negative feedback, is most helpful when it is private (just between us and the publisher).
