iWORSHIP DVD Tutorial
Welcome to iWorship-a total worship experience. You're just steps away from familiarizing yourself with the capabilities of the iWorship DVD series-a series that allows you, the worshipper, to use it in your personal worship time, in small groups, or congregations. From the iWorship Main menu, you will see five options:
- Play All Songs
- Play Single Songs
- iFocus
- Audio/Options
- Tutorial
Play All Songs
Choosing to Play All Songs allows you to play all seven songs on the iWorship DVD in the sequenced order of the disc. When you use this option, all seven videos will lead you through a worship experience that has a definite beginning, middle and end.
Play Single Songs
Should you choose to play a single song, you will move to the Play Single Songs submenu. Here, you'll see an iWorship Singles menu that lists all seven songs, and that will allow you to pick which one you want to play.
iFocus
If you choose iFocus, you will be able to choose from three themes that are listed there. Simply select the theme that you would like to play and select <Enter> on your DVD remote control. Each theme contains three songs that share a common element or message.
Note: Throughout the DVD, each playback choice that you make will lead you to what we call a Cue menu. The Cue menu allows you to make all of your setup choices and hold indefinitely prior to playing. This enables you to literally "Just push play" when you're ready to get started. If, for some reason, you see an option that is not what you intended to choose, simply select the back button, and you will be returned to the previous submenu.
Audio/Options
When you select the Audio/Options menu, you are given access to all of the main features of the DVD. You will see three audio modes:
- Standard Audio
- Split Track
- Click Track
However, should you want to explore the additional functionalities of the DVD (and we highly recommend that you do), you will need to be familiar with these options.
By leaving the disc in Standard Audio mode, when you play the iWorship videos, you will hear the original worship leader singing the song, just as if you were listening to a CD.
The second audio mode, Split Track, is for any time that you want to lead worship to the background tracks of the songs. The instrumental track will play through the left audio channel of the DVD and the background vocals will play through the right audio channel. If you choose to play the disc through a sound system, simply adjust the pan knobs of each channel to adjust the desired amount of instrumental track and background vocals.
The third option, and perhaps the most powerful option of the iWorship DVD, is the Click Track option. This option allows a praise and worship team to lead worship while syncing to the videos, and allows a congregation to worship with iWorship videos along with them. Simply send the Left audio channel (click track) to key instrumentalists (i.e. drummer, rhythm section) via headphones.
When a song is started, you will be given two measures of click track-eight full counts-to synchronize before the music plays. Typically, the drummer will hear one bar for reference, then click one bar with his sticks and everyone joins on the third bar. The right channel of audio on the Click Track option is an instrumental reference to assist in finding your way.
Under the Audio/Options menu, as we mentioned before, you can also choose whether or not you want to Display Lyrics.
It's helpful to remember that you can also change any of the audio or display options while viewing the songs by using your audio and subtitle controls on your DVD player's remote control. And remember, any changes made under Audio Options are global-in other words, they will apply to all songs. But don't worry, you can always come back and change them later.
And finally, by choosing iWorship from the Audio/Options menu, you will get more info on the series and a sneak peek of what's coming next.
The last choice under the main menu allows you to play an interactive tutorial. When you choose Play Tutorial, you will be taken through each of the iWorship menus and each menu will be explained in detail. We recommend that you take a few minutes to look at the various menus and see how you can use them make the most out of your iWorship experience. You can always come back here at any time to revisit the tutorial.
Remember, if you need to duplicate songs that are contained in iWorship products for use by your congregation or group, please contact Christian Copyright Licensing International or the copyright owner indicated.
All that's left now is for you to get started. Welcome to iWorship.
