Musicademy Worship Vocals Course is teaching DVDs specifically for people involved in worship. The teaching covers professional techniques for breathing, projection, control, and harmony skills all built around well known contemporary worship songs.

The DVDs are designed to increase the confidence and delivery of the student both as a singer and worshipper. Subjects covered include:

• Correct breathing
• Harmony skills
• Using the diaphragm for power, projection and control
• Use of the head and chest voice
• Falsetto, vibrato and vocal frei
• Lead and backing vocals
• Working with a band
• Moving from traditional to contemporary singing styles
• Essential music theory made easy

Suitable for men and women, soloists or groups of singers.

Each of the four 2-hour DVDs also features a comprehensive set of warm up exercises designed to extend the range, tone and power of the voice.

There are sections on spontaneous and prophetic singing as well as singing scripture, liturgy and gospel style singing. Guest tutor Lloyd Wade (who taught Daniel Bedingfield to sing) teaches a section on rhythm and blues singing.

As well as teaching from Kate Silbur and other Musicademy vocals tutors the DVDs feature practical advice from worship leaders Brenton Brown, Vicky Beeching, Tim Neufeld (Starfield), Tommy Walker, Leeland Mooring and Noel Richards.

Musicademy Director Andy Chamberlain says 'The aim of these DVDs is to provide church based singers with professional vocal coaching in order to fully realise their singing potential and better lead their congregation in worship'.

Songs used include: How Great is Our God, We Fall Down, He is Exalted, In Christ Alone, Over the Mountains and the Sea, and How Great Thou Art.
