The greatest thing about this CD is that it assembles the very best female worship leaders that Vineyard Music has to offer on a single live worship recording.

With a line up like Cindy Rethmeier, Kim McMechan, Marie Barnett, Sheri Keller and Rachel Myers, how can you possibly go wrong?

No doubt many listeners will be familiar with the clear voice of Rethmeier, the deep tone of Keller, the passionate vocal of McMechan (formerly Kim Johnson), and the dulcet phrasings of Barnett and Myers. If not, then this is the best, and certainly the only, recording to document the wealth of female talent found within the Vineyard stable.

Then again, maybe the best thing is that every single member of the live band recorded on this Cd is actually a woman. The drums, the guitars, the bass, the percussion, even the cello and the piano, are all played with great skill by women, bringing even more meaning to the title, “Women In Worship”.

Of course, even better than this is the fact that this recording is totally recorded live. This is not a compilation recording of past worship songs that, incidentally, featured a female vocalist. These are live recordings taken from Vineyard’s own “Women In Worship” Conferences.

With a live recording one usually must sacrifice quality and clarity for the energy of a live performance. Not so with “Fall On Me”. The production on this recording, handled by veteran worship leader Casey Corum, is probably some of the best to ever come from the American side of the VMG equation. The drums are crisp and out front, the bass is strong and warm, the guitars and percussion are tastefully layered alongside the emotive vocals found here. So..maybe that’s the best thing about this Cd?

Then again…the songs found here are really top drawer. “Surrender”, “Hungry”, “I Am Yours”, “Be The Centre”, “Isn’t He” and the title song, “Fall On Me” are all memorable Vineyard songs that showcase their value of spiritual intimacy. The songs here range in style from dark and moody, to triumphant and joyous.

“Fall On Me” is a worship experience that you can enjoy, whether you have a “Y” Chromosome or not, and that’s probably the very best thing about this recording.
